So you know how Superbowl was a couple of weeks ago?? Well, I procrastinated.....I forgot to plan a dessert to share with our extended family. So I sat in my comfy recliner, with my knee chilling with some ice, and I combed through Pinterest on my laptop. I got lucky. I found a recipe that I had all the ingredients & would be simple to make. What was it?? The Picky-Palates Kiss Pies.
Again. I was lucky. They turned out to be the perfect little treat!
These little Mini-Pies were super easy to make. I had some Pie crusts in the fridge, and leftover Raspberry Hug Hershey Kisses.
I had a biscuit cutter that happened to be 3'' wide-Perfect!
I also pumped up the taste factor when I brushed the egg wash.....I combined 1 egg with some White Chocolate Raspberry Creamer I had in the fridge. I think the creamer gave it an extra little somethin-somethin.
Not all the pies came out perfect though.....but that's ok :)
The sprinkling of powdered sugar after they had cooled made these little pies a little more tastier.
My two pie crusts made 25 of these little pies....and only a few came back home :)
Mini-Kiss Pies
Ingredients
· 1 box {of two} Pie Crusts – I used Pillsbury’s brand
· Hershey Kisses-I used the Raspberry Hug flavor-25 to be exact
· 1 egg
· 1 T White Chocolate Raspberry Creamer-or milk would be good too
· Sugar to sprinkle before baking
· Powdered Sugar to sprinkle after baking & cooled
Directions
1. Roll out your dough, and using a 3’’ wide biscuit cutter, cut a bunch of circles out. You’ll have to gather up the dough & roll out again to get the desired amount.
2. Place one kiss on each circle. Pinch the sides opposite of each other.
3. Brush the little pies with an egg wash made up of a beaten egg & the creamer.
4. Sprinkle each pie with some granulated Sugar.
5. Bake in the oven @350˚ for about 25 minutes, or until the little pies are a little golden tan.
6. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. When cooled, dust each pie with some powdered sugar
7. Enjoy!
